Ginger Tumeric Pineapple Shots

I start my day with a ginger turmeric pineapple shot because it’s a powerful, natural boost for both body and mind. This small but mighty combination packs anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-supporting benefits into every sip. Ginger helps with digestion and eases nausea, turmeric fights inflammation and supports joint health, and pineapple adds a dose of vitamin C and bromelain for immunity and digestion. Together, they help me feel energized, reduce bloat, and stay ahead of seasonal bugs—making it a simple daily ritual with real, noticeable effects.

I also take another shot right before bed (when I remember).

What is needed to make these shots besides the ingredients?

I started making these with a blender and squeezing out the juice through a strainer and/or cheesecloth. It’s possible. It works. But it’s a major pain and you get a lot less of the juice than using a juicer. After blending and straining for about a month, I decided to splurge on a juicer and it was the best decision ever!!! I use my juicer religiously and it is soooo much faster! I highly recommend purchasing one if you are commited to juicing weekly.

What is needed:

  • peeler for the ginger and tumeric root

  • long, sharp knife for the pineapple

  • measuring spoons

  • juicer (you can use a blender/strainer/cheesecloth method if needed too)

  • container for juice (use glass if you can as these do not contain all chemicals and microplastics found in plastic containers; glass also doesn’t stain)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh ginger root

  • 1/2 pound fresh tumeric root

  • 1/2 fresh pineapple

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or coconut oil (coconut oil will solidify in the refrigerator leaving globs in your shots—if you' don’t mind that, coconut oil is preferable)

Directions

Using a juicer, these will make approximately 15 2oz shots. The blend and strain method will produce less liquid simply because it is more difficult to retrieve as much liquid using this method. The shots are most potent within the first 5 days, but do not go bad after. I make them for a week at a time (making these are part of my Sunday morning ritual, I simply do not have time to make them during the weekday) so I consistently drink them on days 6 and 7, and they continue to work and taste fine. My mom has used them for as long as 10 days with no complaints.

Black pepper and oil helps absorb the active components of the tumeric, but are not necessary. You can eliminate these if you do not like the taste or are allergic to either.

  1. Peel and wash the ginger and tumeric root. Cut into approximately 1/2 inch pieces *wear gloves because tumeric will stain anything it touches, including your skin*

  2. Cut a fresh pineapple in half. Peel and cut 1/2 of the pineapple. *save the rest for whatever you’d like or double the recipe and use the whole pineapple*

  3. Feed above ingredients into juicer. I like to alternate adding the ingredients, but it really doesn’t matter.

  4. Move juice to a larger container, add black pepper and oil of your choice. Stir with a whisk.

  5. Store in a container of your choice. Use glass if possible. One serving is 2 ounces.
