Movie Theatre Party

The summer months always feature some great blockbuster hits in theatres. From Memorial Day Weekend’s Lilo & Stitch and Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning to 4th of July’s Jurassic World Rebirth , plus many more all summer…think Superman, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Karate Kid, Fantastic Four: First Steps, Happy Gilmore 2, Freakier Friday, plus more…summer is arguably the best time to see a movie.

Coupled with cold air conditioning, teen-friendly snacks, and about 2 hours of quiet…movie theatre parties rule! Some theatres offer table service, arcades, and party rooms to make your child’s party complete.

My daughter celebrating her 13th Birthday at Lilo & Stitch.

For this party I made sure to purchase tickets for the kids all in the same row with the adults a few rows back. This allowed us to see them each and every time (and trust me there were a lot) they got up to go to the bathroom or get a soda refill. My theatre offered a party pack which provided 10 drinks and 10 popcorns at a really discounted price. Before going to the theatre, I purchased a variety of candy at the Dollar Tree and let the kids pick which they’d like before going inside. The theatre also offered other food and drink items, but since I had decided to go back to my house for pizza and cake afterwards, I didn’t let the kids order food. I gotta say, it all worked out great.
