Pimples.
I remember when I was a teen and I thought my skin was horrible. Every raised surface was a pimple, my skin was oily, my skin was dry…I didn’t know what was going on. I was so confused and my mom wasn’t any help. I mean, it didn’t help that we didn’t have much money, but she completely brushed off any concerns I had. I think I used bar soap on my face! Nowadays though, there is soooo much more available for tweens and teens to use that will help them possibly avoid pimple outbreaks.
But first, let’s talk about what is out there once you already do have a pimple. Dealing with pimples is a common part of adolescence, but that doesn't make it any easier for teens facing breakouts. Acne can affect self-confidence, social interactions, and emotional well-being. Fortunately, there are a variety of items and tools available that can help teens manage and reduce pimples effectively.
Starface Hydro-Star + Salicylic Acid Pimple Patches and Compact
If you ever see kids with star ‘stickers’ on their faces, they are these. Not stickers like I once thought.

My kids use these. My students use these. I have even used them (in another post I shall write about how, at 43 years old, I have started getting pimples!). They work wonders!
This pimple patch compact comes with 32 blue pimple patches. The compact also comes in yellow. Refills or patches without the compact can be found here. There are different sizes and colors without the compact. The compact is great though for on-the-go moments.

These are what I would call the ‘adult version’ of the Scarface patches. With a crazy 173,000+ 4.6 average rating on Amazon, these have been giving the highly effective thumbs up for pimple patches!
The tiny dots can potentially blend in based on your skin tone, although most tweens and teens have no problem with the stars not blending in. If you prefer the invisible patches, you can get them here. The invisible patches have nearly 12,000 4.7 star reviews!

So I am a major, major fan of Korean skincare. I feel like they are gentle on skin, but yet somehow more effective. These are absolutely the best Nose Pore Patches out there. The gunk that we all removed from our noses was crazy!
They also have great Spot Dots sold here. I actually prefer these over the Mighty Patch brand, but this brand has less reviews (I think it’s because these are less advertised than others).
